This article describes briefly the evolution of foreign immigration in Italy that at 2010 showed a migratory pressure by 7,5% of the total population, above the EU average. A phenomenon that has transformed over the past three decades, the demographic and socio- cultural aspects of the Italian country. The presence of migrants in Italy is a set composed of multiple aspects, each of which weaves ties more or less solid with several Italian places. Considering migration from the point of emergency means not taking into account the most important aspects of the transformation of the Italian territory. This phenomenon affects in particular urban contexts where the foreign presence is denser than in other places and more visible in terms of work...
